Hi!

Announcements come from forum threads. If you have moderator privileges (which you should if you created the zuild), you can post a new forum thread and then click "Make Announcement". Then the announcement will show up in any announcement widgets you have on either your front page or any custom pages.

Let me know if that makes sense or if you have any other questions!
