The gray ?'s are real hot but I think the site would be much more attractive if players had to pick from a selection of default avatar pictures when they create their character profiles. Perhaps the pictures could be based on the game that they play, but it doesn't necessarily have to be.

That's a good idea. I've added it to our todo list =). I think having a variety of game-specific avatars, as well as a variety of others would definitely be cool to have.
