it'd be cool to have editing tools on the forums, just the standard sizing, bold, italics, etc. =D <-- real smiley's would be awsome too ; )

yea... rich text is high priority right now. i just got the first pass in which includes autodetection of urls, and allow you to insert pictures u've upload directly into your posts...
like so...
but definitly definitly adding rich text tools as soon as possible.... and post editing around that time as well.
