I haven't really used the Zuild forums to a large extent, and with a few suggestions borrowing from previously established message board scripts, I think they could be more flexible.

*I have not researched all of what is in this thread. If I find something that I requested and it actually exists I will delete that suggestion.

*This list will constantly grow until I run out of ideas.

Currently the only way to embed an image into a forum post is to use an already uploaded file.
-I own my own website and host my content there, and don't see a point in having to upload it to your server as well just to include it in a post. I also view it this way- To show an image to everyone on the forums from say, photobucket, You have to download the image from photobucket, upload it to your zuild page, then insert it, rather than just using a simplified code such as (image=www.url.tld). OR link the image in hypertext so one has to click the image to view the content and load another tab/window.

Lack of Font Customization
-You have the basics (B,I,U,Size); however, features such as font face, color, and bulleted lists are excluded from posting ability.

Signatures
-I admit, I haven't fully explored them, but from my limited exposure to them, I sometimes mistake the signatures for part of a posted message. Many forums use a HR tag before a signature to differentiate, I think this would improve the forums cosmetic appeal as well as the problem I have faced.

New Thread Making
-As I am typing this, I am constantly having to re-scroll the textarea down due to it's height being 8 lines in length. A large portion of my browser area is currently unused as I am inputting this message, with the footer cutting off approximately 50% of my available screen.

No "Post Preview"
-When formatting long posts, an option to view our message in full screen to catch errors before embarrassing ourselves would be spectacular. :)

RSS Feed
-This is more of a personal request rather than one I think would be widely used, but I have not found a RSS feed option for these, and feel it would be good to have:
=Site Updates
=Forum Threads
=more to come later, possibly

11/26:
Post Editing
When you opt to edit a post, again, we have a very small area to view our message. Perhaps we could get a seperate page to do our editing in, like the WoW forums, PHPBB, and Vbulletin allow?

URL Insertion
Could we perhaps have a script that allows us to insert anchors to text like the <a href=""> tag? I'm not sure if you coded it for (URL="") or not, but adding a button to click to insert the appropriate tag would be helpful.

Tables
Allowed use of a mock <table> command would be interesting, if nested properly. While it could welcome some abuse, the ability for graphical tables to be inserted with limited options (have the cell padding and borders all defaulted to 1px, or the like) for representation of data or rosters would be a nice tool.

11/27
When in the main forum page, there's no link to go to the newest post in a subforum. You could place it near the last updated time.

thanks! lots of good observations and suggestions there.

RSS is definitely something that we've discussed and will be adding at some point.

Point well made about the image embedding; and with signatures and new threads too. Each of those should be easy to add/tweak in the next code push.

Post preview is doable. we have the tech in place for it. just gotta spend the time to incorporate it into the UI in a nice way.

The ability to change font colors in the post, we are a little weary of. But font-faces and bulleted lists are a no brainer. Once we start our second pass on "rich text" support we'll definitely be adding those.

If any other suggestions/thoughts, feel free =).
