Here's a couple changes that I think would make this website much more awesome.
1. Users should not be able to remove the "edited by" text when they modify a post. IT should also have a timestamp, and not stack ontop of itself when you modify a post multiple times. (look a the bottom of this post for an example of the stacking).
2. The font for the default theme is absolutely terrible looking on every browser, it should be changed to something more standard, such as Tahoma or Times New Roman. This would improve the site looks by ten-fold in my opinion.
3. The text on the menu bar shouldn't be italicized.
4. There should be an option to remember your logged in state, instead of forcing the user to login everytime they leave the page and enter again.
5. Maybe make an easier way to get to your groups, I constantly find myself getting lost on how to find my guilds page.
6. There needs to be a legend for what the symbols mean in forums, such as * = sticky, or x = closed. Icons would be great, such as the ones from http://www.famfamfam.com/...

1) The time-stamp idea is great. I think the current stacking is definitely not very useful without timestamps, but if stampstamps were there, i would see some use to the stacking. What's your thought?
2) New themes are on the way. We may make a change to this one, but more than likely you will see a new default theme altogether for the site, with this blue one set aside for people to choose it if they prefer.
Also remember that zuilds (guilds/clans) can select from our existing 4 themes; and that you can change your theme for your personal pages as well, by visiting your options. But yea, we agree the current theme isn't too great, and it's definitely high on our list at this point to get some more themes in, and a better default theme in place.
3) What I said in #2 applies.
4) Next code push will have a much longer cookie life, and a codepush sometime after next will have a checkbox for "stay logged in".
5) Agreed. Do you have any suggestions or preferences? Drop-down box from the navigation? Or a guild list at your "My Portal" page?
6) Agreed. Thanks for the link to the icons! those look real nice, and the licensing agreement is compatible with our site, too.
If any other suggestions, keep them coming =)

For #5, I think a drop-down list would be best, something that would expand on hover, not something you would have to click.
A list of guilds the player is currently in on the front page as well.
How about a search function, that would let you search for guilds, people, forum topics, or whatever?
A huge improvement would be to integrate the FCK editor ( http://www.fckeditor.net/... ) with the post fields. The editor is distributed under the GPL.

Searching we have the basics in already... just visit the home page and click search & browse.
as for quick way to get to your guilds, theres already an almost-quick-way from your My Portal page or by clicking your username in the top-right. on your portal u'll see Who's online on the right side, with links to your guilds too. A drop-down like we're talking about though would obviously be even better.
FCK editor looks cool... we can use GPL though cause that requires our codebase to be open source tmk.
